New Year

2018 was a great year full of activities!

Spring went fast with Design competition, End of the Season Party, Gardening Project, Lets get International- info evening, to mention few. Monthly Brainstorming sessions got people together and plenty of new ideas was discovered. Together with other organisations, StepEurope took part in World Refugee Day, Week Against Racism and Lost in Turku. 4 young people went to UK for training.
Gardening Project- trip to Kurjenrahka

"How to Survive Trough the Finnish Winter" -project introduced people to Mindfulness, dance, crafts and how to make your own cosmetics. We are very grateful to many volunteers who helped events come together by leading them and helping with activities. There is still couple more things to come, who will dare welcome 2019 with Ice Swimming & Sauna?

How to Survive Trough the Finnish Winter- Capoeira workshop

Novia welcomed StepEurope  to share Not Just Numbers -workshop with them and it was great to see young students actively involved. Also Sustainable and Local shopping-  event gathered people actively talk about ways to be sustainable in Turku. Sharing important themes such as sustainability and experiences of refugees is important and something you can expect to hear much more in 2019.

Little Christmas Party
City of Turku invites StepEurope to host music painting and Chair Yoga & Mindfulness workshops in the neighborhood of Halinen . Very exiting project was started together with the University of Turku "Again Never Again "- explores the transmission of trauma and will continue in 2019 with a workshop and international seminar. StepEurope also had time to visit Estonia with 5 people to meet inspiring organisations: EstYes and Continuous Action and get to know their work better.

Study Visit Estonia

It was wonderful to meet so many old and new faces. StepEurope made a wish for 2019 to make this community of people even better and offer you more opportunities to really come together.

Hope to see you soon!
