ESC Tampere training - the heart is all you need
Hello People 😃
Last week was quite a fruitful experience for the StepEurope
team, as I got to go for an awesome training concerning European
Solidarity Corps (ESC) projects in Tampere. The ESC is an initiative
focused on creating opportunities for the Youth of Europe, giving them the
chance to serve the community through volunteering or work in projects that aim
to serve a European dimension and has the goal of making the atmosphere a better
place.
This training in particular aimed to let the participants
know more about the projects and actions that can be done by individuals and
organizations, as well as public bodies in Europe, and all the elements that go
into forming these actions (the support that the participants would get and how
to gain that support, how to bring these projects to life, as well as finding
partners, etc.).
What I loved about the training that it did not limit itself
to being too academic rather than providing an active and friendly space for
all of us participants to feel involved in the process of information
collecting. It was an amazing opportunity to meet new people from different
countries in Europe, such as Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, which meant seeing
the different organizations and public bodies they served and the possible
partnerships that we as StepEurope could form in a future ESC cross-country
project.
And now, after returning from this awesome training, I have
with me the notes that would help us develop the project and the awesome
memories I collected from this experience.
And we meet soon again in another blog post!
