The Power of Non Formal Education

I arrived to the beautiful Danhostel in Ishøj,Copenhagen in the first day of the training directly from the airport. Getting there was fairly easy from the airport, taking train from the airport and switching to metro in the central train station, Kobenhaven H and about 15 mins. walk. When I arrived at the Danhostel I was accommodated with a perfect own bungalow. The privacy and and the calmness of the place was amazing.

The arrival evening was kicked off with dinner followed by welcome drinks. Later on, despite the tiredness that could be seen from the participants, we carried on different activities to get to know each other. Unlike the following nights this one was called off early.

The training was held on from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm in three sessions, after breakfast, after lunch and after dinner. we carried on two activities, one on the first day and the second one the next day. We kept on building from the activities to discuss about non formal education and its application. The whole idea of the activities were to entertain different ideas and perspectives to apply them in the realm of non formal education. The training also tried to cover different mechanisms of education including informal and formal education in relation to non formal education.

The evenings after the training were laid-back and getting to know everyone while listening musics and playing games. The intercultural evening was held on the third evening. We get to taste different foods and drinks from all the participants' countries and discover the work experience of the participants. The next afternoon we had free time to discover Copenhagen according to our wish in different groups and later in the evening we headed for dinner in beautiful Copenhagen city center.

The good bye party was happening on the next and last evening. The party was a bitter sweet event in the way that everybody was happy to get to spend an entertaining week with amazing people and at the same time nobody enjoyed the Good Bye.

Amin
